The environment affects women and men inversely. This is because men and women play different roles. Women and girls relate more to the environment; they grow food, fetch water and fuel. Therefore environmental hardships and climatic hazards impact them the most.

These inter linkages between gender and climate change needs adequate policy options to bridge the gaps at the regional, national, and community levels.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire African women and girls to take their position at the centre of sustainable development by rising above barriers to education, health, rights, decision-making and full participation.
